To mew or not to mew

Just one thing before I sleep. PLEASE check out the group MEW. I've fallen in love with them. Maybe it's because they're danish. Maybe they remind me of some delicious pastry. Damn! I'm saying stupid things! AGAIN. Anyway, I guess this is one of those bands that either you love them or you just hate them. There's no in between. What to expect? Rock. Crunching guitars. High, light, girly vocals (some of you might hate the guy, but try to give him a chance) Brilliant interpretations, inventive arrangements, comforting, melodic, music. The kind of music that just crawls inside your skin and into your soul... You may start by checking out Am I Wry? No., She came home from Christmas, or 156 from their album Frengers. Then go out and buy two albums! One for you and one for your friendly neighborhood Ms. Mysterious. (Hey, Christmas is coming!)

The meaning of life REVEALED!

My dear Mr. Marshmellow man sent me this link: http://life.shutterline.com/
Take a look. Let's just say that on the site they ask for words of wisdom, from anyone who's up to it. They're looking for someone to tell them what's the meaning of life. As you probably realized just now, there's not a correct answer. Everyone has their own perspective of what the purpose of life should be. Let's face it, we all are looking for meaning at some point of our lives. So, if there's someone out there reading this blog, and you hace a couple of minutes, give this Mysterious lady some lines of wisdom. Share with the world what you think about life. Let's help each other with this little mystery. So in the meantime, I'll tell you what I think.
The meaning of life is about..looking for the meaning of life. Yeah. Sounds dumb right? The thing is, there's not a definite answer. As human beings we're filled with doubts and fears, and because of that we'll always be searching for the things that make us feel more in contact with ourselves, with others. The things that make us feel unique. We'll try to make a difference in the lives of others, so we can feel our time here on earth is not being wasted. So we feel our lives are going somewhere.
Life goes on and sometimes the older you are, the less you understand things. Why is that? Because we complicate things. When we're kids, things are simple. Everything is new. Everything is exciting. So if you ask me again, what is the meaning of life I'll tell you this:Do the best you can, enjoying every second and every breath as it is your first, as it was your last. Stand up everytime you fall. Never give up. Learn to love and to be loved. Enjoy simple things, never taking anything for granted. I guess life's an adventure. Some days are good, others are bad. Battles are fought, some you win, some you lose.
But in the end what's important is to know that you gave your best. That no one could break you. That you remained true to yourself. And in the process, that you touched the lives of others.

So, this is not the ultimate answer, this is just my humble opinion. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow I'll have another answer. Maybe tomorrow I'll believe that the meaning of life is to eat pizza. In the meantime I'll go. There are some demons that have been haunting me for quite some time now. It's time to end this battle. I'm tired. I'll give the suckers what they deserve. And if I loose....guess tomorrow I can start all over again.
As drummer god Neil Peart said: You can fight without ever winning, but you can never win without a fight.

I'll try to keep that in mind.

Come, sinners! Fun! Adventures! For only 12 cents!

Don't you just love to buy cheap and good stuff? How about the 12 cent adventure of no other than the Dark Knight itself? So, yeah. I bought the first issue of Batman: War Games, and I highly recommend it. The issue is narrated by Stephanie Brown, aka Spoiler, (who also was Robin for a short period of time), who's watching closely a meeting being held by the bad guys (won't tell who) while she tries to figure out what went wrong with her relationship with both Robin and Batman. Pretty vague my description, huh? Do you think I should give you more details? Hell no! Buy it! It's only 12 cents! One small complain though. Even though I like the whole idea of the captions to look like if the girl actually WROTE the damn thing...Have mercy! Sometimes it's kind of hard to read. (Or maybe I'm just too old. Whatever...)

Judgement day! Run RUN!

Minus five days. Mr. Marshmellow man will come back to old and boring Numbtown. But things are not as easy as they seem, no siree! I'll have to fight. Yes, my faithful sinners, the dark side will tempt me. He whoshallnotbenamed will try to take the worst out of me, but ALAS! Truth, beauty and kindness shall prevail! Ms. Mysterious will be strong! Ms. Mysterious will control the darkness inside her and will be diplomatic! Ms. Mysterious will turn HE whoshallnotbenamed back to the good side! And then you shall call me Ms. Skywalker! (Although now that I think about it, Ms. Mysterious will have ready some bazookas, just in case)
Judgement day is coming!

DISCLAIMER: Ms. Mysterious wrote this only to fullfill her daily duty of posting something on her blog. She's totally aware of the stupidity of the subject and begs for forgiveness if anyone feels insulted in any way. Believe me it's not the purpose of this post. Let's just say that Ms. Mysterious needs some serious therapy.

The death, the maidens and Ms. Mysterious words of wisdom

I've always loved Batman comics. So, when I bought the trade The death and the maidens, (by Greg Rucka and Klaus Janson) I thought it would be one of stories that would stay with me for a long time. Sadly, this was not the case.
Ra's Al Ghul is finally dying and the only one who can help him prevent that is the Dark Knight, who will be offered a chance of a lifetime: To speak with with his dead parents.
You gotta to admit this sounds really promising. What would Bruce's parents think about his life as the Batman? Would they be proud or dissapointed? How would Bruce react to that? Would he change the way he lives?
So I read the comic. Issue after issue. And sadly it never hook me. Yeah, he talks with his parents. But it's not interesting as it should. Maybe it's just me, but I never simpathized with what was happening in the story. And I LOVE Batman's character.
So the question is, should you read it or not?.
Read it. ( although it should not be your first option). Greg Rucka is a great writer, sadly this is not one of his best jobs.
But hey, that's just Ms. Mysterious humble opinion.
See ya later, sinners.

Not all who wander are aimless

I like that phrase. Do I have to tell you where I got it from? Do I? *sigh* Ms. Mysterious had a quiet night watching a chick flick (Mona Lisa smile) and eating a delicious whopper jr. and fries. Can't complain. Nice way to end the day.
Junk food and a movie. Life's so simple sometimes...

Sunrise, sunset

Came back to my house right after Tae Kwon Do class. Had something to eat as I watched The Batman, and Smallville (Episode 8). Yeah, Clark is shirtless half of the time. Again. Blessed are teen shows. Today's song? Hmm...still a little blue...still contemplative...what song could show my current emotional state? Hourglass, by Liquid Tension Experiment. This progressive band is formed byTony Levin and by Dream Theater members John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy, and Jordan Rudess, (All of them gods if I might say). A good album for those who like progressive rock. From their second album comes this song (piece of music, however you want to call it). A slow, melodic ballad that all day long I've been listening inside my head. (Yeah, I know is not the representative piece from this particular album, but who cares, it's my blog).
So that's it. I'll try to sleep now. I long for a beautiful sunrise. It's been a while since I last saw one. A sunrise in my life, please? Anyone out there listening?
*I guess is just you and me again my faithful plush pig....sigh*

I finally saw a new episode four- "The cat and the bat"of The Batman cartoon. I haven't really fell in love with the show, but this episode shows a real improvement. Selina Kyle, Catwoman, appears for the first time in Bruce's life. And yeah. You can feel the luv already. Fast paced, great fights and chases, this is worth your time. Check it out! Posted by Hello

Superman: Secret Identity.by Busiek and Immonen. I know some of you already HAVE superpowers....Come forward you sinners!!! I'll find you sooner or later!!!  Posted by Hello

Superman:Secret Identity- blessed are trade paperbacks

There's nothing like reading a great story. To easily relate to the characters, wanting to know what's going to happen to them. To secretly hope for some happy ending, which will give you some confort in your own life. It's to take part in some great adventure, that even though
you're not the hero, you sure feel like one at the end of the story. It's so beautiful just being ableto turn the pages and wonder what will happen next. And with that beauty, comes a little sadness, because you know it has to end sometime.
So what story made me feel this way?
Superman: Secret Identity, by Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen.

So, I know all of my life I've wanted to have powers (You too, admit it!) Everytime after watching a superheros movie, or reading a comic, comes the depression to realize that I'm earthbound, that I will not travel to another galaxy, to know I won't be able to fly around like a
bird, to know I wont be able to run at superspeed to catch a train....
*My god. I really have issues.*
Don't lie to yourselves sinners! You KNOW you would love to have superpowers. Just think about the x-ray vision. Oh yeah.
Anyway, Superman: Secret identity is about a teenager that lives in the same real and boring world you and I know. A world without superheros, kryptonite or powers. And his name is Clark Kent. Just like the one from the comic books. He doesn't have any powers. Not until now.
So now imagine YOUR dreams suddenly coming true. Now YOU have powers. Right now. On this precise moment as you read this stupid blog. What would you do? Would you show everyone? Get rich and famous by selling your story? Travel around the world? Go to the Olympics? WHAT WOULD YOU HONESTLY DO?All the fame and fortune that could come with the powers sounds great, but what about your privacy? Your safety and the one's close to you?

This comic has a lot of great moments, and sue me for being sappy, but I love when Clark tells Lois his secret. Now, THAT'S romantic. (My dear Mr. Marshmellow man, I hope you can fly), I won't say more, in case you haven't read it.

Busiek gives us this wonderful story, about a guy and the different stages in his life. From an introverted teenager, to an eager writer, to a concerned husband and father, to a wise old man, Superman: Secret Identity reminds us that in the end, everything is about moments, and that even though everything changes and everything ends, there's always something new and beautiful to hold on to.

So, that's it. You may go now. Eat a pizza or something.
Ms. Mysterious out.

Mysteries of life unanswered? Eat pizza

I promise I'll get my life in order soon, so I can continue with my routine of writing annoying and useless posts almost everyday. I've been...Bored? Busy? Contemplative? Blue? Hungry? I don't know. I guess I'm still trying to figure out who I am. Who I want to be. Who I CAN be. One would believe that as you grow older you leave behind all these stupid questions, and that life itself answers every little doubt you've had. Maybe I thought I'd be wiser by now. (I also thought I'de grow up to be the female version of James Bond or that Obi One would come for me and I would become the most powerful jedi in the galaxy and...- okay, you get the idea)But Oh, cruel word! How mistaken I was!
One phrase haunts me over and over again. -There's nothing worst than wasted talent- Damn Robert DeNiro and his movie A bronx tale. What happens if you can't find what your talent is? Or if it's been sleeping for so long, that it's almost impossible to wake it up? Or what if there are people that were just born without a talent? That are condemned to be mediocre...to be just... average? What happens then?? It's funny how some people just know what they want to do with the rest of their lives from the moment they're born. And others spend some good years finding out, and by the time they know it's too late. Wasted time. Wasted talent. Wasted life. And no. I'm not depressed. (Not yet at least) I just wonder. Trying to understand this wacky life. Whatever conclusion I reach... I guess hope is the last thing to go, right? In the meantime, I guess a pizza would help fill the void. Hmmm....
So, tonight's song (trying to continue with our beautiful routine) it's "Wonderful tonight", By Eric Clapton. Another god walking among mere mortals. Check it out. Soothing guitar, I might ad- perfect for my strange contemplative mood.

See ya tomorrow. And yes my loyal sinners! Some comics have finally reached this souless god-forgotten town and found their way to Ms. Mysterious fortress of solitude. Expect some words of wisdom by yours truly.

Monsieur Victor Von Doom! Fantastic Four movie!!!! DOOM! DOOM! DOOM! DOOM! ** NOTE: If you want some extra information and/or some interesting and insightful words please send Ms. Mysterious one rocky road ice-cream cone asap. Thank you.  Posted by Hello

Just look at this beauty! THIS is a poster! Watch this movie sinners! Enjoy every small detail. And look out for King Kong, Godzilla, THX 1138, The World of the worlds, Empire Strikes back references. This is a movie for intelligent, cultured, geeks. Remember! Geeks shall inherit the earth! Ms. Mysterious has spoken.  Posted by Hello

Sky Captain saves the day!! Geeks rejoice!

I finally saw Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow. And sinners, it was a hell of a ride. Maybe I can start by saying how from the moment get to your seat and the first images appear, you know that movie is definitely going to be different. Full of imagination and energy, Sky
Captain
makes homage to a old black and white series, radio shows, comic books and 30's and 40's movies, such as Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Superman, The war of the worlds, Lost Horizon and many others.
The year is 1939. The adventure starts when New York is attacked by an army of flying robots and Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow) teams up with Joe Sullivan aka Captain Sky (Jude Law) to find out who's responsible for this. Now is up to them to save the world.
Law and Paltrow are just great. Their relationship on screen reminds you of great couples like Hepburn and Tracy, Grant and Hepburn (hmm...someone love's Katherine Hepburn's movies), Colman and Wyatt (remember that 1937 movie, Lost Horizon?... I'll just say one word:
Shangri- La), Bogart and Bacall. Is the perfect love- hate relationship we all love to watch.

And yes! There's a a great actor that appears in the movie and he died back in the eighties. Who is it? How is this possible? Guess you better watch it. He was the Master, and he truly deserves to be re-introduced to this uneducated generation.
By the way, Angelina Jolie is just a godess. Period.

The movie has a unique look, as it was all computer generated, with the exception of course of the actors, who did almost all of their scenes in front of a blue screen. And the colors used in the movie? Just perfect. They set you in the right mood, every scene in the movie is like watching an old photograph.
I won't say anything else, I don't want to spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it. (That means you, my dear Mr. Marshmellow man) Let me just recommend you to go with someone as geek as you. You'll have twice the fun ;)

This movie is a journey to a fantastic world, full of old fashion heroes. It has mystery! Romance! Adventure! Handsome guys! Beautiful lethal girls! Crazy gadgets! Happy endings! What else do you need!?
You. Gotta. Watch. It.

Yes, I know the picture is from Season one. But I like it and....we have shirtless Clark! Wheeeeee!!!!!! Blame my stupidity to my neverending sickness, allergy or however you want to call it. :)  Posted by Hello

Shirtless Clark!! Long live TV!

I'm sick again, so before I go to the couch and drown my sorrow watching movies and eating junk food, I'll just say something. Someone in Smallville is really putting an extra effort to make Tom Welling appear without a shirt in EVERY season 4 chapter. Who ever it is....BLESS YOU!!!. The man is HOT and it really brings a smile to my face when I see his six pack over and over again. But after saying this, I confess that the cute one on the show is Michael Rosenbaum as LEX. He has the power! The style! The brains! The darkness inside of him! The mansion and the cool cars!!...YUM.If you're not currently watching Smallville, you should. Great cast, pretty decent special effects, good soundtrack most of the time, and interesting plots (That is, when it doesn't involve a teenager with special powers thanks to kryptonite that appears to be on every corner in Smallville).
This is what has happened 'till now.

Episodes 1&2:Crusade & Gone- Clark reappears after being abducted by Jor- El. He can fly. Hates Lex. Meets Chloe's cousin, who's no one else but LOIS LANE. She absolutely rules. Together they'll solve the mystery surrounding Chloe's death. Sam Lane also appears!
Episode 3: Facade. One of those brainless teen chapters, but entertaing. High points: To watch Lois and Clark's love-hate relationship, and papa Kent deal with a frustrated son that wants to
play football (boring game if you ask me).
Episode 4: Devoted. Another teen chapter. But with a shirtless Clark making out. Wheee!!!! The cheerleaders decide to give gatorade kryptonite flavour to the football apes, sorry, players, to make them even more stupid and devoted to their girlfriends. High point in this one: Chloe as a cheerleader (you got to see it to understand why is this remotely funny). Lex and Clark are buddies again. Lois and Clark relationship. Did I mention that Lois rules?
Episode 5: Run. High point: Bart Allen. The Flash. Just watch it.
Episode 6: Transference. Lionel and Clark exchange bodies. Shirtless Clark. Really cool from beginning to end. It's really impressive how Tom Welling really acts like John Glover and viceversa.
Episode 7: Jinx. Football. Bleh. Clark is always with his shirt on. *Damn* High point: Mr. Mxyzptlk. Lex is eeevil.
So in a nutshell, Watch episodes 1, 2, 4 and 6. The others, you can live without. And YES! We want shirtless Clark!

*Sigh* This is what happens when I don't go to my Tae Kwon Do class. Stupidity takes control of me.

In space no one can hear you Superspeak

The first picture is that of planet Earth. The second picture is Space. Earth is full of grass, flowers, people and stuff. Space is also filled with stuff, but it is so darn huge that well it is for all purposes quite empty. Earth is also full of air. Space is, well, not. Air allows living things like you, me, everything else that moves and a bunch of other stuff to breathe, live, and listen to sounds. You see, air allows the movement of sound waves from a source to a receiver, and is in fact quite good at it. Space being quite empty and without a lot of air doesn't really work very well in the sound thing. Ergo, if, say you were on Earth and saying to yourself "What on earth is he talking about?" you would in fact hear yourself saying "What on earth is he talking about?". Here, try it, I'll wait. There, see! Now, assuming that you were somehow able to be in space right at this moment, and that you wouldn't be instantly killed, if you were to open your mouth and say to yourself "Cool! I'm in space!" you would hear yourself saying " ". Now by this point you are probably thinking, Well I kinda knew that! That is obvious! Everyone knows that you can't talk in space! Allow me to introduce you to exhibit A:

"Hello, I'm Superman/Batman #13, I am a guilty pleasure of The mighty Pulgoso. I've apparently been written by someone who absolutely no idea that you....CANNOT SPEAK IN SPACE!!!! Not even if you are a Kryptonian, or a Demi-God. Geez... And please don't even think about throwing the Mother Box excuse at me will ya?
P.S yes I know that it is stupid to complain about people talking in space when they are next to the freakin' sun and still alive, but invulnerability is a superman thing... speaking in space is not.
-The mighty Pulgoso-

French people also have nice little tunes

Now that I think about it, they also make pretty decent food. Oh le crepes! Mon dieu!. Anyway, time to go to sleep. But before that, the song of the day (the one that I stuck with me all day long, don't ask me why). Run, run, run by Phoenix. All I know is this is a French band (for those of you who hate French, don't worry, they sing in English). Their songs are pretty transparent and straight forward and maybe this is the beauty of this song. Catchy melodies and simple beats are what you will get. It's nothing out of this world, (Is it pop? Indie pop? Can you call it that way? I don't know) but what I do know is that at least two of their songs are pretty good "Run, run, run" and "Everything is everything". If you try to listen to their whole album you probably will be very dissapointed (it's pretty flat and lacks energy), but at least give a chance to these two songs. Come on, filthy sinners! Try something new! And if you have any complains...talk with my plush toy lawyer Mr. Mighty Pulgoso.
Ms. Mysterious will sleep now. Later!

Depressed robots and a tired Ms. Mysterious.

After a crazy neverending week, I'm finally able to sit down and continue with my routine of writing stupid things in my stupid blog. Life's good. The Tae Kwon Do exhibition went okay, we made a couple of mistakes which makes me want to kill someone because we really trained hard. But hey! I guess that's human nature. We're a flawed race. Anyway, I was surfing the net and I found this production design image of Marvin, the depressed robot from the upcoming movie Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And sinners: He looks absolutely cute. Can't wait to see the movie next year. Posted by Hello

Wednesday, November 10, 2004

Yeah. We all screw up sometimes.

My mistake. The song we're using for our Tae Kwon Do exhibition is called Red Warrior, by Hans Zimmer, from the movie The Last Samurai. And guess what? Ms. Mysterious is no longer holding the stupid flag. Heh heh heh.
Today's song (beside the one that's still playing inside my head over and over again thanks to our neverending practices), Tender surrender, by guitar virtuoso, Steve Vai. Smooth, heartfelt ballad. Perfect to listen to it on a cold night as you watch the rain fall. If you like that one, also check out For the love of God and Boston rain melody... Your soul will melt as you listen that guitar play. And maybe, if you're crazy enough, you'll even try to play guitar. Yes, I'm weak and I impressionable and have absolutely no qualities for anything. But, I sure know how to have fun. :P

Ms. Mysterious rediscovers the way

- You believe a man can change his destiny?
- I think a man does what he can, until his destiny is revealed.

(The Last Samurai)
Bushido, "The Way of the Warrior", has come to be known as the samurai code, but it is more than that. It is a description of a way of life.
At the heart of bushido is the Samurai's acceptance of death. "The way of the samurai is found in death" says the Hagakure (The book of the Samurai). "Once he is steeled to the fact of dying, he may then live his life without worrying about dying, and choose his actions based on principle, not fear"
There's a samurai in all of us waiting to be awaken, sinners. Think about it. Goodnight. Posted by Hello

Alive, kicking and hungry

Friday, Monday and today, Tuesday, I've been practicing for our bimestral Tae Kwon Do Tournament. And surprise, surprise, who do you think is going to be on the exhibition? Well yeah! Us. The humble, tired teachers. Let's impress mortals. So, the song I can't get out of my mind, is the one we're using as we show our kicks and defenses and crazy moves to the world. But not Ms. Mysterious. No....She had to open her big, big mouth. She had to volunteer to be one of the idiots with a flag moving around, getting dizzy with all the turns and steps. Hooray for Ms. Mysterious. Who am I kidding? I'm having fun. :) Let's wait and see how it goes next Sunday. So the song (or piece of music) playing over and over on my mind:
Spectres in the fog, by Hans Zimmer, from the movie The Last Samurai. I LOVE that movie, even though I admit is like watching Dances with wolves Pt 2: The way of the sushi. So, sue me! I like oriental culture. I find it mystical, filled with honor, courage and equilibrium. Everything seems to make more sense. I love the way of the samurai. The way they dedicate their lives to service, (Samurai means, "to serve") the way they live with passion, the way they embrace life, yet they hope for a good death in the battlefield, dying for their beliefs.

Anyway, this is a powerful piece of music, filled with drum beats that call you to battle, making you feel invincible, ready to conquer anything, including yourself. Your fears and your weaknesses of mind and body.

What does it mean to be Samurai? To devote yourself utterly to a set of moral principles. To seek a stillness of your mind. And to master the way of the sword.
Call me old fashion, but I want to be a samurai. Hope I'm on the right path. Anyone wants to join me? The world would be a better place, I can assure you that. See ya! Ms. Mysterious is still hungry. She'll go to hunt something to eat.

Sin City teaser poster. Based on the comic by Frank Miller Sin City is about the thoughest city in the world, where stories of vengeance and redemption take place. Now, this is going to be a hell of a movie. Directed by (Mexican!) Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids) and with great cast of actors such as Bruce Willis, Britanny Murphy, Josh Hartnet and Mickey Rourke, this movie will surely be one of the greatest comic book adaptations of all time. The movie will hit theaters on April 1, 2005. Sinners! This is OUR movie. The place where we belong: Sin city. Posted by Hello

Back in the seventies

Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother, you're stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Feel the city breakin' and everybody shakin', and we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Yeah baby. Today' song: Staying Alive by the Bee gees. This is a cool song... Sorry if you disagree. I've always wondered...Why the hell Barry Gibb started singing that way? I can imagine the scene: -Yeah, let's make a band. I can sing like a chipmunk. Yeah, I guess that would make us famous.
Oh, the American dream. There's still a chance for me.

Life goin' nowhere. Somebody help me.

It sure feels it's going nowhere...But at least right now I know where I'm going. To bed. Hope I don't die in my sleep by a taco overdose.

May 19th, 2005. You heartless bastard.

Episode 3 teaser. What can I say? I don't want to get too excited but Lucas (the big bastard) always manages to make me jump from my seat and start counting the days 'till I finally get to watch it.I loved the way the teaser starts: Ben Kenobi (Alec Guinness) giving the speech about the Republic and how it was ruled by jedis, before the dark time, before the empire. And how Anakin helped destroy all the jedis, yadda yadda yadda. I also like Ewan McGregor's look and how he has turned into an Alec Guinness clone; Anakin finally looks evil and cool; Amidala is using the same cinnabon look Leia used on her hair; you get to see the Emperor with a lightsaber and a freaky face. And then... This:

-Lord Vader
-Yes, master
-RISE!

Oh. My. God. I give extra points to Lucas for that perfect moment. VADER at last!!!!!Ok that's it! I will say no more! I won't get excited! Not even when I think of the lightsabers duel between Anakin and Obi One! DAMN YOU LUCAS!! Please don't screw this one! Anyway, the song of the day: The IMPERIAL MARCH of course! By the Supreme God John Williams.
May the force be with you, filthy sinners! I'll go to sleep now.

EPISODE 3 TEASER!!!

Rejoice Sinners! Watch Episode 3 teaser!!! NOW!

http://www.astercity.net/~jerry/full.mov

I won't say a thing. Watch it first. We'll talk about it later. Bow your Master Ms. Mysterious!!!

Sing along with Ms. Mysterious!

Oh simple thing, where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
(Keane)

It's finally feeling like the Winters coming.I don't know, everything about winter is great. Love to feel the cold wind in my face. Love wearing stupid hats and big jackets. Christmas is closer (Ok, in two months, so sue me), lots of chocolates and junk food, getting to hug a lot the people you love, getting them presents. My marshmallow man coming back to Numbtown for at least a couple of weeks. Oh yeah..Happier days are coming. As you can see I'm in a very special mood. I feel ...Relaxed. So today's music choice will be something really smooth and delicate.
The song: Somewhere only we know, by brit band KEANE, from their album Hopes and Fears. Imagine a mix of Coldplay, Travis and Radiohead. That and a big dose of valium. This guys are melancholic to the bone, and even though it's a very nice album, you reach the point when you want them to snap out of it and rock a little. Anyway, prepare to listen to a trio with piano as their main instrument. No, no guitars. So go ahead, buy the CD, download it, or whatever and listen to it as you enjoy a solitary moment, or as you make out with your significant other or as you read my useless blog . Yes, it might help you to relax and endure all the stupidity. Sorry. Saying stupid things again. I'll go now.

This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?

Ms. Mysterious: Compulsive lier.

When there's trouble you know who to call!
TEEN TITANS!!
So I lied. This song is my choice of the day. Hey, it's a happy tune, plus it's catchy! What can I say?? Mea culpa, sinners. Posted by Hello

Nice little song by blasphemers

SO the song of the day as promised, my recommendation or whoever you want to call it.

"Take your mama" by Scissor sisters, a New York band, that at first impression you might want to kill them and burn all their CD's to hell. They made the sacrilege of making the cover of Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb into a disco/ electronic song. *sigh* So, if you ignore that fact, you might find a couple of interesting songs such as this one, Take your mama, that will hook you up with it's 70's Elton John's-like vocals, acoustic guitar and catchy beat.
So, it's not work of art, but it's quite enjoyable. Check it out. Ms. Mysterious has spoken.

It's a struggle

Need Help? Yeah. Addicted to Alias.

I need to sleep. NOW. ALIAS has control of my life. Again. I'm watching for the third time season 3. I thought I was free of the spell, free of the addiction. I was wrong. For those of you who live in another planet and have NO idea who's one of the coolest secret agents (besides James Bond, of course) to ever set foot on earth, here you have it. This show has lots of fights, gadgets, handsome guys, cute lethal girls with flashy outfits, travels spots, lots of twists in the plot and yes, lots and lost of stupidity! (Maybe that's why Ms. Mysterious loves it).
Really, it's action from beginning to end. If you haven't seen it watch all seasons. Get to love the characters, because in the end that is what is all about. For me, second season has been the best one yet, (lots of guest stars!: Quentin Tarantino, Ethan Hawk, Lena Olin, etc) Yet, 3rd Season has really great chapters. But today I refuse to talk further about ALIAS. It's too long and complicated. Just take my word for it and watch it. Right now, I'm dying to close my eyes.

Last song of the day.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical, liberal, fanatical, criminal. Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're acceptable, respectable, presentable, a vegetable!
- The logical song

Since stupidity runs through my veins and it doesn't seem that it will ever fade away, I've just decided that starting today I' ll tell you my favorite song of the day. One of the song's that I heard and gave me exactly what I needed in that specific day. Tonight's favorite song: The logical song, by Supertramp, from their 1979 album Breakfast in America. So, download it, hear a sample in amazon.com, borrow it or whatever. This one's an oldie but goodie! Enjoy!

Late as usual.

This is a short and stupid post. My life's in danger. Someone just said to me that if I didn't thank her for making me delicious birthday cake I would "suffer" an accident in the next few days. So, thank you Liz! That's it. I guess I'll live a little longer.
