Ms.Mysterious smash puny humans!!

Today I had my second Hapkido grading. AND I SUCKED BIG TIME!! ARGHHHHH!!! Yeah, I'm angry. First of all because even though I'm not a goddess doing my techniques, sometimes I must admit they're not that bad. But today they SUCKED. And one of the reasons is that my partner in the exam was someone I never practice with. Besides being a white belt (believe me or not that may affect), he's also pretty elastic, which makes it more difficult to adapt the techniques. (And just for the record he's a great guy, I'm not complaining about him, I'm complaining about the fact that I HAD to do it with him).

I know what you must be thinking: If your techniques are good, they're supposed to work with everyone. I KNOW THAT. And I totally agree with that notion. At the same time... I'M a fracking yellow belt in hapkido! I'm still learning to adjust my techniques to people different sizes. I'm not doing so bad with people that's bigger than me. But put me someone my own size and Ms. Mysterious is in a lot of trouble. Damn damn damn!!!! I never train with that guy! I know sooner or later I could adapt my techniques to use them on him but not in less than 5 minutes! Not in my exam. Damn damn damn damn.
Yes, Ms. Mysterious is not happy today. Grr.

Oh yeah...

Robert Downey Jr. will be Tony Stark. Iron Man. Do I need to say more? =)

Fotus primerus!

Yup, the first Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix official image, published by The Scotsman. Having said that, you can find more pics here. (No idea how long those have been there) . I love how they want to make us suffer, showing us pictures almost a YEAR before we can actually see the movie. Plus, the teaser trailer comes out next month, which will make Ms. Mysterious curse the heavens and try to build a time machine to speed time 'till HPOP premiere...
O, what the hell, let's enjoy. =)
Where no sinner has gone before..

Funny how I could't stand Will Ferrell a couple of years ago. Now, I can't but laugh with all the stupid things he says. Oh, and that trekie moment in the interview.. PRICELESS. =)

Casinooo Royaaaaaaleeee (8) (8)

Behold, sinners, here's Casino Royale's opening title song , performed by Chris Cornell (Audioslave, Soundgarden) The sound quality is not perfect, but it'll give you a good idea of what to expect in this new Bond movie. Personally, I'm still deciding if I love it or not. I don't hate it, that's for sure. Maybe is not the best Bond song ever. Let's just remember the glorious Live and Let die by Paul McCartney, Nobody does it better by Carly Simon, Goldfinger by Shirley Bassey, or even Goldeneye by Tina Turner. And yes, I also loooove License to kill by Gladys Knight. Not a classic maybe, but it's so damn good! (plus it was the first Bond movie I ever saw in a movie theater so sue me)
Anyway, thinks are looking good for Casino Royale. Go Mr. Bond!

Completely remastered

I want a new Ipod Shuffle. NOW.
I'm still reading about the new apple improvements. I'll rant a little bit more about it later, but in the meantime, you can check Steve Jobs presentation. Oh, and enjoy the new improvements in itunes! (Ms. Mysterious just about to install it). I'll rant also about that later ;)
Peace!

O, the joys of being a geek without a life..

Finally, something is happening in the world. Yeah, yeah, I know that things HAPPEN on every day basis, people live, die, countries are at war, pizza prices go up, but let's be honest; This blog has never been about deep thoughts, depressing problems or political stuff (although I must admit, I've had my dark moments). No, this blog is about the things that make us feel alive, things that we love, things that makes us want to jump in joy, makes us want to dance or even to kick someone's but for making stupid decisions about things that are important in life, such as movies, comics, music or TV shows.

Anyway, our favorite shows are coming back soon, so today let's start with Battlestar Galactica, that even though the third season starts 'till October 6th, we have the weekly webisodes, to prepare us to what it could be the best season yet (I'll keep my fingers crossed). Go here to watch webisodes 1 and 2.

So what else is coming our way? If you like watching characters that are cool bastards, HOUSE(season 3) started this week. Smallville (season 6) is coming on September 28th. It will be interesting to watch where the show is going, plus, I can't wait to see Ollie's portrayal. (They better make it right, dammit!). JJ Abrams' Lost, will be back on September 27th. Will history repeat itself? Will this be the beginning of the end of a good show, just like it happened with ALIAS?

Anyway, enough ranting for the day. Ms. Mysterious is tired and needs to get some rest in order to be strong and healthy to watch all these shows. (And I'm not including Doctor Who, 'cause it's still a little bit far away... *sniff*)

So good luck, sinners. Start making your bets. Which shows do you think that will suck this season, and which shows do you think will survive the test of time and geekness?
We'll see..

I'm counting the days, Mr. Bond...

YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!! Rejoice, sinners, and watch the new Casino Royale trailer. Enjoy the awesome stunts and a sexy and convincing Daniel Craig, in what seems a great rebirth of the series. GO, BOND!!!

He died doing what he loved

Steve Irwin, better known as the Crocodile Hunter, died today (Monday) after being attacked by a stingray, while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef. Now, THAT SUCKS. God, I'm in Kangarooland! He's the closest thing that they have to a legend or icon! The dude was crazy, but you gotta admit that it was pretty amazing all the stuff he did. Plus, he reaally enjoyed what he did. How can you not have some respect to a man like that? He followed his dreams and enjoyed every minute of it.
Anyway, it's a dark day in Kangarooland...

So long, Mr Ford

I know it's kind of old news for all of you who spend your days and nights surfing the net, but Glenn Ford, better known as Pa Kent from Superman: the movie , passed away last Wednesday. He was 90 years old. I'm pretty sure that every person that watched Superman, loved his portrayal of the moral and loving father of Clark Kent. It surely broke everyone's heart when he dies in that farm in Kansas. But believe it or not, he is the lean man in one of my favorite movies of all time, The Four horsemen of the Apocalypse. If you haven't seen it, now is a good moment to do it. A story about the IIWW, family, love, and how you can't just close your eyes to what's happening around you.
Anyway, goodbye Mr. Ford. You did well.
