About my birthday...

Twenty- nine years old. My first year far away from home. I can't lie and say I didn't miss my birthday parties. But what the hell, this year wasn't bad, it was just different. I did some of the things I love the most; kicking people, watching movies and being with Mr. Marshmallow. So, I guess I can't complain, can I? It was pretty good... although the day after I began with my pseudoanalitycalmood, thinking about my life, and the things I haven't done this year. Goals I haven't reached, or worst yet, how I have no clear goals. How sometimes I feel more lost than ever. How I have no idea who I should be by now. What to do when you need some words of wisdom? In my case, I just read again a birthday card one of my best friends sent me. It said:

"may you always be yourself, keep struggling with that existencialistprone- dorkycomicstripfan- hardrockdrumvibratingrebel within you so you can always keep wandering for more, so you never settle and never never grow up."

So yeah, maybe that's who I am. A 29 year old girl that will never settle. That has no idea what to do next, 'cause there are so many beautiful things in life that she will always be looking for more. And more. A girl that enjoys geeky things that according to society, she should have stopped loving a long time ago.
I'll keep on dreaming, and hoping, as if time stood still, and as if every breath wasn't bringing me closer to my last... Do I have a Peter Pan complex? Maybe. I guess I'm just a wanderer, always trying to find the perfect sunset. The perfect moment. The perfect dream.
And yeah, sometimes I have to admit that I look around and seems that life's against me. My strength leaves me and I just want to give up. And I think of nothing else, but a single word: Simplicity. Keep your life simple. Love what you do. Do what you love. Never stop dreaming, even though as we grow older our paths seem to get darker and the world thinks we don't deserve to dream anymore.

So, have I bored you yet? Huh, I remember now.. NO ONE reads this blog! Hehehe.. Whatever. I guess I just wanted to rant for a while. See ya around, sinners! And thanks to my friends, for loving me just the way I am ( you know, sexy, smart and humble) :)

...forever young, I want to be forever young...

Wii are going to play Wii!

Die of envy.. I just received a phone call from Nintendo (Kangarooland) and I've been invited to the WII PARTY!!! Yes, my dear sinners, Mr. Marshmallow and I will be playing Wii before anyone else here in Australia. WIIIIIII!!!!!!! I'm a lucky bastard. I'll keep you posted ;)

Go Adama!

Okay, lots of things to write about, so little time. Forget about my birthday or about my thoughts on life, the universe and pizza, and let's just start with what really matters: Battlestar Galactica. Really, if you haven't seen this show, start watching it NOW. Last week's episode (Exodus pt 2) had one of the best sci fi battle scenes EVER. Adama and the Galactica falling through the atmosphere, fighting the cylons, and trying to save the human race? AWESOME. God, I wish I had seen that on the big screen. That's how you do a battle scene! Take that Lucas! Frak it! At least watch the whole Exodus Battle. I can't wait to see the new episode. (My kingdom for bandwidth!!) And yeah, I should have written this post a couple of days ago, but I've been busy, so sue me. Anyway, got to go now, Halloween party tonight. Gotta buy myself a chainsaw. Later, sinners!

US bans Vegemite

Finally, some common sense! Read the article here. Sorry to all the aussie dudes that actually like vegemite. Having yeast extract with my toast is not my idea of a tasty breakfast.

Bow to the Lord of the Strings!

Sinners! Rejoice yourselves with some Mexican talent. Check Luis Othon's songs here. He's into funk and rock, but he won't stop there, he'll entertain you with some really cool lounge grooves. He just started uploading his songs, so give him some time to build up his collection. Yup, he's a God. And yeah, I'm his groupie. Band aid. Whatever. =)

Yahoo Time capsule..

"You and what matters to you. Preserved for eternity"
Leave your mark, whether it's a picture, a video, a comment, a list of things you love or you hate, a letter to your kids or to your long lost love. Anything. Be remembered. Be part of it.
Do I need to say more? Just read everything about it here.
Will anyone see it a hundred years from now? I don't now. I want to think that yeah, someone will take the time to read everything, to learn about the past. And perhaps they'll look at our stuff, our thoughts and see that we no matter the time they live in, no matter the place, we all care about the same stuff. We all share the same dreams, the same fears. We all crave for love and hope for better days. And most of all, we all want to make a difference. We all want to be remembered.

So hurry up. You only have 21 days to contribute. See you areound, sinners.

Music, half naked guys, and walking toasters

It's official. I got my Big Day Out tickets.. wohooo! So let's see what the future awaits for Ms. Mysterious and the loyal Mr. Marshmallow. In November: Pearl Jam and Billy Joel. January: Muse, My Chemical Romance, Jet, The Killers, etc. February: Eric Clapton. Not too bad for a boring Mexican girl. And I'm just warming up, sinners...

Besides that, nothing interesting has happened really. I've been watching Smallville, which has turned booooring, but I'll keep watching just to see how many times they take the shirts of the sexy characters. Yup, that's all they've been doing lately. Last episode eeeeveryone took it off. (an no, they were not at the beach) Hehe.. so yeah, at least Ms. Mysterious is entertaining herself watching half-naked sexy guys, cause the idiot plot is getting dumber and dumber everyday. Having said this, I want to see what will they do with Ollie.

On the other hand we have Heroes, which is becoming one of my favorite shows of this season (let's see if they can keep up with the good stories), and Lost, entertaining and confusing as always. But the best of all is Battlestar Galactica. Really, if you haven't seen it, and your craving for a good sci-fi show, with smart plots, deep and complex characters, and great performances, this is it. It doesn't get better than this sinners...

Anyway, Ms. Mysterious gotta go. See ya later, sinners.

Dos - Deux - Ni - Two - Dul- Due

And I guess our favorite number today is...
NUMBER TWO!!!

*applause*

Let me explain:

In exactly 2 months I'll be flying to Tokyo with my dear and patient Mr. Marshmallow, where we'll spend a great week there, and then we'll be heading to Numbtown to see my friends and family again .. Yeah. I have to admit that I miss my people. Some of them at least hehe. Although I guess I also miss pizzas. And cachiburros. And chamoyadas. And granielotes. And my gym. Damn. And hochos. And Mexican candies. Did I mention pizzas? =)

What else? In exactly 2 weeks it's my birthday. It'll be..Different. Lonelier? Nope, I won't do a party. I've never done parties in my life. (okay maybe when I was a kid), but I'll surely miss the good company of my friends. And the tacos. And the birthday cake. And the ice cream. And cleaning up after everyone has gon.....HEY! I won't have to clean anything! I won't have to wash dishe...
...
huh, though I do have to clean up and wash dishes every day now.
....
.....

WAHH! I miss being lazy! (yeah I know I still am, but I want to be even MORE) Oh, the weird decisions we make in life. As Bilbo used to say " It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."

So what's this post about? Oh yeah. Number two. Ahm.. I have 2 eyes! and 2 ears! and 2 arms! 2 plush toys! You see, number TWO holds the secret of the universe! Okay, okay, let's get serious now. So again, what's this post about? I don't know. Maybe it's just one of those days when I think about my life here, and the life I left behind. I wonder what will happen when I get back. Will I want to go? Will I want to stay? Will everything be different? Will it be the same?

One thing is true. I don't regret coming here. And I apologize to Rob for stealing some his words of wisdom, but as he said, this is just another adventure. Yeah, sometimes it's hard, and sometimes everything just...clicks. What does the future holds? Nooo idea. But then again, that's what makes life interesting, don't you think?

Yo, sinners!

GREAT poster, and yeah, this is one of those movies I can't wait to see... I saw the first Rocky almost 15 years ago, and I think I was too idiot to understand how good it was. But alas, I grew up a little bit, (and whilst I'm still an idiot but on a different scale) I watched again this year and maaaaan how I loved it! It's an awesome movie. And yeah, Stallone has lost his way since then, but I'm still confident that this will bring him back. Remember, it ain't over til'' it's over, sinners!

Conference Bike to the rescue!

A tricycle pedaled by 7 riders? I want one!!! It just look as something that came out of The Prisoner series. Stupid, I know, but I just loved it. Just check it out =)

A feast for my eyes...

I finally got to see the 300 trailer.
...
WOW.
It just looks... beautiful. Sorry, there's no other word that can describe it. The visuals are just amazing. The colors, the shadows, the lights. Even though lots of stuff is CGI, it just looks right. They're showing you a new, different, magical, barbaric world. It looks creative. Powerful. Sublime.
If you haven't seen it, watch it NOW.

Once again, Ms. Mysterious has spoken!

Sinners confirmed for Big Day Out 2007

Oh yeah, oh yeah. Ms. Mysterious is one with the universe now. Finally, it has been confirmed that Muse, My Chemical Romance, Jet, The Killers and Tool have booked for Big Day Out, festival that yours truly will attend on January 21, 2007. Where? The Gold Coast, Kangarooland, of course.

Violent Femmes, Evermore and Eskimo Joe are some of the bands that are also playing in the festival.

My favorite? Muse of course! Though I have to admit that I can't wait to see My Chemical Romance, Jet and the Killers (even with their new so so album).

Let's rock n' roll, mates!
