Like father, like son?

I just read something about the Doctor Who series that maybe I shouldn't have read. Daaaamn. Well, if you're a big fan and don't want to know what the rumors are for season's three finale, STOP reading.
...
Ready?
Well, rumor has it that... Doctor Who has a son.
"Doctor Who bosses have found a way to prevent the much-loved Time Lord from dying out. By giving him a son. ... A source told the Daily Express: 'Since there are only two regenerations left, the BBC needs a plan to make sure the show can carry on. Last year in one of the episodes it was hinted that the Doctor had a child following a doomed love affair with someone from a forgotten planet. Russell will unveil his big bombshell that he really is a dad in next year's series finale."
How true is this? Outpost Gallifrey think it's nonsense. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Ms. Mysterious wants to be a band-aid (or win the lottery)

No, not groupie. A Band aid. (Just watch Almost Famous if you have no idea what I'm talking about) Oh, sweet old times. Last year I went to the ACL (Austin City Limits) with Rob, and had a great time (even though he almost dies of heat exhaustion). We were able to see and hear great bands such as Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire, Kaiser Chiefs, and The Decemberists. Back then I really didn't care much about most of the bands. Maybe I wasn't so informed about the latest bands back then. Or they were not what I was listening at the moment. Or..whatever. The thing is that a friend of mine was bragging that he had tickets for this year's ACL. I didn't hate him until I saw the line up:
MUSE
John Mayer
Tom Petty
Gnarls Barkley

Massive Attack

Flaming Lips
Ben Harper

Aimee Mann

etc, etc..
...
Did I mention that MUSE is going to play?
...
...
WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! You have no idea how I'm dying to go to a concert of those guys. It had been a while since I fell in love with a band in this way. (And yes, I have to admit that I even have a crush with Matt Bellamy (vocals and guitar)...He kind of reminds me to The Doctor. (Yup, I'm hopeless). Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed, because rumor has it that Muse will come to Kangarooland to play in Big Day Out (pretty big music festival, or so they say). In the meantime, Ms. Mysterious is getting ready to buy her Clapton tickets on Monday morning. I definitely need to win the lottery or something if I really want to go to all the cool concerts that arrive to town.I already have tickets for Pearl Jam and Billy Joel, but I had to control myself and not buy for Queenryche.. *sniff* Anyway, Praaaise the Looooord for we have good music coming to town!

Yup. That's me smiling.

Eric Clapton's coming to Kangarooland (8) Oh yeah, oh yeah! And there are rumors that David Gilmour might come too (8) oh yeah, oh yeah!!
*Ms. Mysterious performs , once more, her secret happy dance*

Fly me to the mooon (8)

This week has been boring. No interesting news. Yes, I know there's a world out there's chaos and there are sad things happening but I never *feel* like writing about any of that. Nope, nothing to rant about really. Nothing to complain about! (just that I'm chubby, but I'm still on denial, so I won't talk about THAT) Damn, I don't even feel like complaining about my life.
....*sigh*...
Oh I know! I could talk about the three new planets that we'll have to learn their names that are part of our galaxy!! Yeeey!! So yeah, now we have the planets Charon, Ceres and UB313. Yup, UB313 is NOT the official name. It would SUCK if that was the best name they could think of. Is just as if you had Harry, Larry and ZT400, or Huey, Louie and FR987, or.. Okay you get the idea. I know, I know! Let's name the planet! Hm.. I would name it... Planet Yourname. Or Planet Chocsundae. Or or or.... OKAY! I'm bored! Mr. Marshmallow almost killed me because I couldn't recite the nine planets in order! It's been a WHILE since I got out of elementary school, you know! I tend to forget things! But alas! I know them now! (Ms. Mysterious spent 3 minutes refreshing her memory, after Mr. Marshmallow threatend to break up with her)
Men! * sigh* And yes, this was a lousy post.

From Mutants to Nazis?

Brett Ratner will direct The Boys from Brazil remake?
Ahm....
Is this the time to get on my knees and pray for a miracle? Okay okay, I might be overreacting, but it happens that I love the original movie, with Gregory Peck and Lawrence Olivier. It's just one of those movies that I watched with my mom when I was really young. Sue me, it brings happy memories. I have nothing against Ratner, but he is definitely NOT my first option to direct this movie. Yeah, Rush Hour and Xmen 3 were entertaining... and that's it. Nothing out of the ordinary. Hmm...I wonder who they will cast as Joseph Mengele and Ezra Lieberman....
Okay, enough for today! Ms. Mysterious needs to sleep!

By the way, if you have no idea who Dr. Mengele is pleeeease, educate yourself and read this. I know it sounds like a cliche but remember: Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Ms. Mysterious over and out. Sweet dreams, my dear sinners.

The Doctor and the other chic that's not Rose

I...don't...understand... Rose...gone? WAHHHHH!! I apologize my dear sinners, I saw this picture and I just remembered how great was the chemistry between Billie Piper and David Tennant, and I just can't seem to imagine how this new companion will top that. Still, I wish the best to newcomer Freema Agyeman, who will play Martha Jones, a medical student who will stumble upon the Doctor, and will join him in his adventures. (And yes, I will complain for a while that Billie Piper is not around, but that's just my sweet personality talking) Anyway, series three starts filming this week. I can't wait to get my Doctor fix!!!

Sooo true...

So sue me, I like this image. That's creativity my dear sinners. And yeah. Life's too short for the wrong job. It is time to quit our jobs and become.. ahm.. strippers! YEAAAH!!!
=)

Year One

HAPPY BDAY # 1 SANTIAGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! The earth is surely a more interesting place since you arrived (just ask his parents hehe). So yeah, I just realized that this is the first blog post about you. Or about your birthday. Ever. In your whoooole life. Sure, more will come when you start melting the ladies with your charm, and when your geek buddies start their own blogs (probably just 5 years from now), but in the meantime you'll have to settle with this post from your aunt that lives in a distant country filled with killer koalas.
Anyway, Happy Bday kiddo! I wish I had been there and had some of that delicious Superman birthday cake... (Hmm guess we'll have to celebrate you again when I come back in December hehe)
Oh and if years from now you actually read this, be nice with your parents. I know they look and they ARE a little crazy, but they're really nice people. Plus, your mom is a great singer! Remind me to show you the tapes I have of her singing Winger songs..hehe
Haaaappy bbbbirtttttthdaaaaaayyy toooooo youuuuuuuuu (8)!

Listen to the maan!

I know, I know, most of you have already received one of this things. But for those of you who haven't here you go. Check this ecard (promo? Message? However you want to call it) from the movie Snakes on a plane. I just loved it. Go on, you can waste a couple of minutes... You really don't want to disappoint Mr. Jackson...

Ms. Mysterious' new love

Yes, my dear sinners, Ms. Mysterious has a new toy. No, it's not THAT kind of toy you sick bastards! It's an acoustic guitar (an Ibanez V70). The sound is pretty crappy, (hey, I'm a poor immigrant and no - I don't know yet if the crappy sound is just me or the guitar - I guess it's a little bit of both) but hey, at least she's a pretty good looking guitar. It's black. And we all know that black guitars look sexy. Yup...soon I'll have my whole legion of groupies, muahahahaha.

Anyway, today, August 3, 2006, I baptize her. And the world shall know her as...
LADY SHIVA!!!!

Yeah, I like the name. I sure spent 10 long minutes trying to think of it. (If you have a better idea I guess I can still change her name. Yeah, I'm easily swayed)

So, it's time to make my fingers bleed and my neighbors hate me. Rock on!
